Konspirasi RM1.72j - Harian Metro 31/7/08

Oleh Murni Wan Omar
murni@hmetro.com.my

Hospital: It was not a sodomy examination

Everybody related to the Government are in the state of denial...Why? They want to survive in the world of UMNO's iron fist rule. Read on, The Star 31/7/08:

KUALA LUMPUR: Hospital Pusrawi has clarified that the medical check conducted on Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan was not a sodomy-related examination.

In a statement distributed to reporters, the hospital's general manager Wan Mahmood Wan Yaacob confirmed that Dr Mohamad Osman Abdul Hamid had not examined Mohd Saiful in relation to sodomy complaints.

“Dr Muhamad had advised the patient after examining him to undergo further examination by a specialist at a government hospital.

“There were no further examinations carried out in relation to sodomy complaints,” the statement read.

It also stated that Dr Mohamad Osman was a general practitioner at the Emergency and Accident Clinic and not a specialist.

Wan Mahmood also denied that the hospital had officially issued the report.

“We categorically deny that Pusrawi issued the report officially,” he said.

He added that the hospital had formed an internal committee to investigate the validity of the information and determine if it was the real report.

When asked if the report circulated on the Internet was genuine, he said:

“The doctor did not do a sodomy examination, so the issue of a false report does not exist.”

He said the report being circulated on the Internet looked similar to the original.

“The report looks genuine but the original is with me,” he said, adding that the hospital had yet to ascertain the validity of the report.

Ezam: I'll take on Anwar

What he think he is now? Is he UMNO branch leader? Is he UMNO supreme council? What he is thinking that he want to challenge Anwar Ibrahim in by election? It is a mad decision by UMNO if they are to allow Ezam to face Anwar in the coming by election.. Of course UMNO will field their warrior to face Anwar not Ezam instead, what do you think? Doesn't he knows that people now will choose party instead of person? The person will be a second factor.. Ezam is now ordinary UMNO member which means nothing....

The Star: 28/7/08:

PETALING JAYA: Former PKR Youth chief Ezam Mohd Nor, who has since joined Umno, is willing to take on PKR de facto leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim in a by-election.

He said he was not afraid of facing his former boss if selected by the Barisan Nasional leadership to contest in the election, preferably in the Bandar Tun Razak parliamentary constituency.

Ezam, who rejoined Umno on May 28, said he was an ordinary of Umno member and it was up to the leadership to make a decision on the candidate to take on Anwar.

"I would like to clarify that I am ready to face Anwar in the election if named the candidate," he told reporters on Monday.

Ezam was confidential secretary to Anwar from 1996 until his former boss was expelled from the government and Umno in 1998, and was a key member of Keadilan before it was renamed Parti Keadilan Rakyat.

He quit PKR two years ago.

On Sunday Anwar said he may contest in Kulim-Bandar Baharu in Kedah if there was a by-election there.

RM80 million per year paid to Spanco by Federal Government to maintain cars

RM80mil to maintain government cars – The Star 27/7/08

By EDDIE CHUA

http://thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?file=/2008/7/27/nation/21928911&sec=nation

KUALA LUMPUR: The Federal Government is paying RM80mil annually to Spanco Sdn Bhd to have the latter maintain its fleet of 1,400 Proton Perdana V6 Executives and other vehicles designated for official use.

This works out to about RM12,000 annually to maintain each of the locally-made luxury-line Proton Perdana leased from Spanco.

On Friday, Terengganu Mentri Besar Datuk Ahmad Said called on the ACA to probe the high service charges imposed by Spanco.

The Perdanas were part of a fleet of 5,600 vehicles of various models and makes that Spanco, a vehicle fleet management company contracted to lease and maintain vehicles for ministers, top civil servants and senior government officials, made available to the Government.

The contract was inked in 1994 for the duration of 25 years as part of the Government’s privatisation exercise. It expires in 2019.

In that contract, the Government paid Spanco RM100mil a year to lease and maintain its entire fleet.

But in June 2003, Spanco and the Government returned to the negotiating table when the Finance Ministry found the contract awarded to Spanco in 1994 excessive. The Government appointed an international audit firm to look into Spanco’s books.

Under the revised agreement, the audit firm recommended the Government cut back the contract by 20% to RM80mil annually. Spanco chief executive officer Datuk Hamzah Mohd Salleh said the issue of cost overrun and high maintenance charges did not arise at all under the Government-Spanco deal.

“Any overrun would be borne by us,” he said, but declined to reveal the details of the package.

“We only leased the vehicles to the Federal Government. We don’t do the state governments’ business.”

A source told The Star that the Government was Spanco’s only customer.

Under the deal, the Government gets new Proton Perdanas every fourth year.

Idris Jusoh attend 6 months management course in Paris

Is he using his own money, or State Government Money or Federal Government Money for the course? Why taking so long, 6 Months? Why Paris? If he is using his own pocket money, I don't care, but if it isn't, please tell all the people what he is trying to do. Management course? hmm... something fishy about it... (please read about this at the bottom of the story, in bold letter). All being exposed due to the mercedes purchased by Mat Said...

Idris may sue Terengganu Govt over erroneous figure - The Star 26/7/08

BESUT: Former Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Idris Jusoh is contemplating legal action against the Terengganu government for putting him in a bad light over the Proton Perdana V6 Executive controversy.

His special assistant, Kamarulazman Idris, said a lawyer had been engaged to study legal action on the statement issued by the state government that RM235,123.08 had been paid to maintain the Proton Perdana V6 Executive used by Idris from 2004 to this year.

The actual amount used to maintain the car (registration TS 12) was RM131,449.83, he pointed out.

“My boss’ reputation as Jerteh assemblyman has been smeared due to the statement,” he said.

On Thursday, State Secretary Datuk Mokthar Nong apologised for the error, adding that it was made by a clerk in his office who miscalculated the total sum incurred to service the car used by Idris

Kamarulazman said it baffled him why the state government was quick to provide the erroneous figure to the media after the state exco meeting in Kuala Lumpur on Wednesday.

“The damage is already done and his (Idris’) reputation is tarnished,” he added.

Kamarulazman said the issue should not be deliberately politicised just because Idris was abroad and was unable to counter any allegations against him.

Idris is completing a six-month management course in Paris and is scheduled to return on Aug 8.

Gejala murtad tinggi - Harian Metro 27/7/08

Oleh ASMIZAN MOHD SAMIRAN
mizan@hmetro.com.my

KUALA LUMPUR: Gejala murtad di kalangan orang Melayu kini di tahap membimbangkan. Itu pendedahan Yang Dipertua Yayasan Dakwah Islamiah Malaysia (Yadim), Datuk Mohd Nakhaie Ahmad, berdasarkan satu kajian Yadim berhubung isu murtad tahun lalu.

Turut hadir, Presiden Isma, Abdullah Zaik Abd Rahman.
