Rais: Decision on island is a win-win situation
Kita kalah perang, boleh cakap win-win situation, that's how UMNO man think!
Singapore dapat Pulau, kita dapat batu karang...
walhal, Pulau itu asalnya Malaysia punya...
We are supposed to get all...
Initially, We only gave Singapore their sovereingnity over the "temasek" only, not including the surrounding Pulau....
I hate UMNO..., I hate Malaysia that's weak due to their weak leadership....
Pulau Batu Puteh - What's our mistake?
These are the main reasons we lost:
1) Failure to show ownership over Pulau Batu Puteh,
2) maps that indicated Singapore's sovereignty over the island, and
3) a reply from a Johor state official saying that the state did not have sovereignty over the island
Based on these reasons, there's no way we can win...
Malaysia always wanted to discuss on table, but Singapore, use their military strength to get something... so, which approach is the best?
Whose to be blame here?
If we are based on the map, it is so weird to draw a territorial line.....

Harga Barang Naik vs Gaji
Semalam aku gi membeli belah barangan dapur. Barangan naik harga usah cerita la. Semua nak naik. Pening dibuatnye.
Ku belek beras .... tersirap rasanya darah.

Keluar UMNO
Anak Anak Kita
Anak-anak kitakah yang berlari telanjang
Di bawah mentari sumbing
Sambil bernyanyi lagu
Ketakutan hari-hari ini
Anak-anak kitakah yang memikul beban
Kesilapan kita
Hingga dia tak kenal
Budaya canggung bangsa sendiri
Selamatkan anak kita
Dari padang jerangkap samar
Selamatkan anak kita
Orde baru politikus usang
Anak-anak kitakah yang bermain
Di hutan belukar
Dengan senapang kayu ubi
Cambah tak kenal bahaya
Anak-anak kitakah yang tak tahu nak pulang
Bila petang
kerana terlalu sibuk main lastik
Dan berpistolan
Pistol-pistolan
Jaga-jaga anak kita
Jangan sampai jadi hamba
Jaga-jaga anak kita
Kita ini orang merdeka
Panggillah mereka pulang
Ayah nak ajar
Tentang kurang ajar
Jadi mereka takkan sendiri lagi
Panggillah mereka pulang
Ayah nak ajar
Tentang kurang ajar
Jadi mereka takkan dimomok lagi
Fikir
Selamatkah kita di tangan tukang karut itu
Fikir
Selamatkah kita di tangan dalang wayang itu
Fikir
Selamatkah kita di tangan ahli koporat itu
Fikir
Selamatkah kita di tangan doktor jiwa itu
Harga gas kepada IPP tidak munasabah
Utusan Malaysia - 22/5/08
Selangor loses millions in idle projects - What else can we say?
Story and photos by ELAN PERUMAL - The Star 22/5/08
For example, the Shah Alam Stadium, which costs RM350mil and Paya Indah Wetlands Park at RM160mil are more like “white elephants” since the facilities are hardly used.
These unsuccessful mega projects including the Marine Park in Sungai Panjang, Exco Village at Shah Alam and 3C Complex in Subang Jaya seem like a waste of public funds as they are underutilised.
Apart from the huge costs and time involved, these projects stick out like a sore thumb with the public demanding to know what has caused the current disappointing state.
A check by StarMetro showed that many of these mega projects have turned out to be costly affairs, uncompleted, left abandoned or worse still, under-utilised.
3C Complex
Another underutilised facility, the Subang Jaya’s 3C Complex (Children’s Creative Centre) was built at a cost of RM30mil by the Subang Jaya Municipal Council in 2003.
After being abandoned for more than three years, a section of the building is currently utilised by an NGO to conduct lessons for autistic children.
Shah Alam Stadium
Topping the 'white elephant' list in Selangor is the Shah Alam Stadium that was supposed to be the football landmark of the state.
Now, the RM350mil stadium, which has a 85,000 capacity looks deserted and unable to draw even half of its full capacity for matches anymore.
Checks revealed that the stadium built by the Selangor Government in 1997 hosted only about 10 matches in a year. The stadium was rarely used after the Federal Government built the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil in 1998.
State property, housing and maintenance committee chairman Iskandar Abdul Samad said a study would be conducted on how to optimise the usage of the stadium.
Besides football, he said, the stadium could be used for various other mega events including entertainment events.
“This is going to be our biggest challenge. We have no options but to look at other ways to put these projects to better use,” said Iskandar.
He added that most of these projects were implemented for the sake of development in view of Selangor's elite status.
“Lack of proper planning has resulted in these structures and facilities becoming white elephants,’’ he said.
Paya Indah Wetlands
The Paya Indah Wetlands in Dengkil is a mega project meant for nature conservation that has failed to meet its objective. Covering 3,300ha, the Federal Government spent RM160mil on the wetlands project that was opened in October 2001.
The presence of four hippopotamus presented by the Botswana government was the only drawing factor for Malaysians before the park was closed to the public two years ago.
Exco Village
Implemented amid huge controversy, the Exco Village project at Section 7 in Shah Alam that was allegedly built at a total cost of RM40mil is another obvious flop.
Former Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Mohamad Khir Toyo who declared that the cosy quarters was built at RM21mil cost had said the facility was aimed at housing the state executive councillors under one compound so that they would able to have closer interaction among themselves.
It was reported earlier that the former state government failed to make its exco members live in the 10 bungalows. The Pakatan Rakyat government had announced that the units would be handed to real estate agents to find suitable tenants.
Marine Park
A Marine Park project at Sungai Panjang near Sekinchan is said to be another project to come under fire due to the huge cost involved.
The project with 13 units of chalets at Kampung Haji Doraini with a restaurant and a shop was built by the Selangor Government at a cost of RM21mil through a direct-negotiation project. Sekinchan assemblyman Ng Suee Lim said the project was initially approved at RM10mil. Ng said the project had not been able to attract any tourists.
Riverside Park
Built along the Klang River in South Klang, the riverside park is another project that has failed to meet its purpose.
The RM10mil riverside project implemented by the Federal Government as part of its river-cleaning programme looks empty and even the residents living nearby the park are said to be not aware of the park's existence.
The park which houses the Pengkalan Batu jetty is equipped with gazebos, benches, children playground and boasts a beautiful landscape but unfortunately it remains deserted.
Canal City
The RM2bil Canal City project, which was supposed to connect Kota Kemuning and Banting via the Langat River has been abandoned.
The proposed project, announced by Khir last year and supposed to mirror the city of Venice, did not take off.
According to Khir, the canal project was meant to be a massive water reservoir that would eventually supply drinking water for Selangor.
Under the proposed project, Klang River and Langat River will be connected through a canal system on 2,185ha land.
Besides enhancing the rivers, the project was to offer attractive development along the rivers following the Venice model.
However, it is learnt that the project had been abandoned due to its high cost and lack of feasibility.
More abandoned projects
The RM25mil proposed exotic island development on Pulau Angsa off Pulau Ketam is among several projects that had been abandoned halfway.
Another case in point is the RM100mil refurbishment work at Morib Beach, which was widely reported in the media for a long time but never saw completion. The beach was expected to be provided with a RM52mil broadwalk facility.

Jawapan kepada Ameenya
Bukannya apa, dia main terjah je. Sepatutnya, kampungraja kena baca dulu arguments kedua belah pihak sebelum membuat apa-apa statement.
Korek.. korek.. korek!
I memang tabik spring kat Tun. Harapnya, dia masih lagi jadi adviser kepada P. Bukannya apa, stock KP yang I beli kat bawah tu banyak buat business dengan P.
So, faham-faham sahajalah kenapa I bias kat mana. Nak hidup! kena realistic, bukannya idealistic.

Petroleum Royalty - where does it go?

Nazri: No one is above the law – NST 12/5/2008 By : Jaspal Singh
http://www.nst.com.my/Current_News/NST/Monday/National/2237936/Article/index_html
|
Therefore, as in the case of Karpal Singh, Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Seri Nazri Aziz said, swift action must also be taken against Terengganu Umno secretary Datuk Rosol Wahid and 22 assemblymen, if they had behaved in a way which may be interpreted as seditious against the Sultan of Terengganu.
Rosol and the assemblymen had protested against the appointment of the menteri besar in March.
"I believe police reports have been made against Rosol and action must be taken.
"I do not care whether the person is an elected representative from the Barisan Nasional (BN) or Pakatan Rakyat.
"The law is the law. If you do something which is against the law, then action must be taken."
Asked if he knew the status of the investigation into Rosol and the 22 assemblymen, Nazri, an Umno supreme council member, said no.
However, no Umno member would be spared if he or she had committed a seditious act.
Nazri was commenting on alleged "double standards" which had "spared" the Terengganu Umno state assemblymen who had challenged the state's Regency Advisory Council's candidate for the post of menteri besar, while urging investigation into Karpal Singh, the DAP chairman, for questioning the powers of Perak Ruler Sultan Azlan Shah, be expedited.
In March, the 22 Terengganu assemblymen, led by Rosol, had declared that they supported the reappointment of Umno liaison chief Datuk Seri Idris Jusoh as the menteri besar, although the palace had picked Datuk Ahmad Said.
During the two-week saga, Rosol and the assemblymen not only handed over a letter of protest to the palace over Ahmad's appointment, but had also threatened to boycott the swearing-in ceremony of the new menteri besar.
The BN assemblymen's conduct was seen by many as tantamount to a seditious act against Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin of Terengganu.
"There are no double standards... I do not want to see any double standards employed in (sedition) cases," Nazri said at a religious function in Kampung Cheh Hulu in Kati here.
On Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Ba-dawi's call to Attorney-General Tan Sri Gani Patail to expedite investigation into the case involving Karpal, Nazri said this was not an extraordinary statement.
"What the prime minister said was normal. Under the Federal Constitution, the power to prosecute lies in the hands of the A-G. He (Abdullah) merely requested that the investigation be speeded up."
Abdullah's call was in response to sentiments on the ground, he said.
Karpal had allegedly questioned the powers of the Sultan of Perak over the transfer of Datuk Jamry Sury, the head of the Perak Islamic Religious Department.
"The Malays are unhappy with Karpal. They are eagerly awaiting the A-G's decision on whether to charge him or not.
"That was the feedback. Based on that, the prime minister asked the A-G to expedite the investigation."
Nazri added that investigations into alleged acts of sedition were carried out quickly to deter others from making insensitive statements.

PM's advisor salary - Is the post really needed?
Buang masa….Buang duit…. Buat apa penasihat kalau dah ada menteri, timbalan menteri, setiausaha kementerian? Takkah membazir namanya?
Gaji plus elaun.... Cuba bahagi dengan 12 bulan, so gaji sorang sebulan berapa tu? Sharizat: RM404,726.4 / 12 = RM33,727.20 sebulan while HaMan: RM549,675.00 / 12 = RM45,806.25 sebulan…. Lumayan Pak….
Fikirkan berapa banyak wang rakyat dah hangus……
